Announcing the JMX Global Humanitarian Foundation: Securing the Future of Aid

by | Jan 10, 2026 | Company News

At JMX Risk Management Consultants, we understand that true stability requires more than just responding to threats; it requires building resilience before a crisis occurs. Today, we are proud to announce the official launch of our philanthropic arm: the JMX Global Humanitarian Foundation (JMXGHF).

This new 501(c)(3) organization is founded on a singular premise: Humanitarian missions cannot succeed without comprehensive security.

While many organizations focus on delivering supplies, JMXGHF focuses on securing the environments where those supplies are used. Our inaugural mission is dedicated to partnering with the Women’s Centre of Jamaica Foundation (WCJF) to protect and harden the facilities that serve adolescent mothers.

Bridging the Security Gap in Humanitarian Aid

Traditional aid models often overlook a critical vulnerability: Operational Security. In high-risk areas, schools, clinics, and community centers are frequently disrupted by theft, vandalism, energy instability, or environmental disasters.

Dr. Michael Nugent Scarlett, President and Founder of JMX, recognized that his team’s expertise in risk mitigation and asset protection could solve this problem.

“We are not just donors. We are strategic partners. We are applying the same discipline used in corporate risk management to ensure that the Women’s Centre of Jamaica has a safe, powered, and unshakeable environment to do their work.” — Dr. Michael Nugent Scarlett

Our Focus: The Women’s Centre of Jamaica Foundation (WCJF)

The WCJF provides a vital service, offering continuing education, counseling, and childcare for adolescent mothers who had their schooling interrupted. However, many of their outreach centers face infrastructure challenges that threaten their daily operations.

The JMX Global Humanitarian Foundation is stepping in to provide an Operational Sanctuary. By hardening these facilities, we ensure that education and childcare can continue without interruption, regardless of external conditions.

The JMX Methodology: Intelligent Protection in Action

We are applying our professional capabilities to the humanitarian sector through three core pillars:

1. Infrastructure Hardening: We are installing “Protected Education” renewable energy arrays. These are not standard solar panels; they are reinforced, tamper-proof systems designed to withstand storms and theft, ensuring clinics and classrooms have 100% power uptime.

2. Security Audits: JMX teams conduct comprehensive physical security assessments of WCJF sites, identifying vulnerabilities in perimeter fencing, lighting, and access control.

3. Emergency Action Planning (EAP): We are training WCJF staff in professional-grade emergency response. From natural disasters to civil unrest, these community leaders will have the protocols needed to keep their students and infants safe.

A Commitment to Inclusive, Sustainable Impact

We believe that security is a right, not a privilege. By securing the infrastructure for the WCJF, we are empowering young women to reclaim their futures. When a classroom is safe and the lights stay on, barriers to education are removed.

This mission reflects the core values of JMX Risk Management: Comprehensive Security. Intelligent Protection. We are honored to bring these values to the communities that need them most.

Join the Mission

The work has just begun. We are currently deploying resources to western Jamaica to begin the first phase of site hardening. We invite our clients, partners, and community members to join us in this vital work.

Together, we aren’t just sending aid. We are securing it.
